Single-component Polyurethane Adhesives based on polyurethane pre-polymers cure when exposed to the moisture in the air or materials to be bonded. These adhesives feature high strength and resistance to water and temperature, long open time, flexibility and very good adhesion to many materials such as steel, aluminium, wood, composites, and plastics.
Two-component Polyurethane Adhesives are a type of adhesive that consists of two separate components: A – polyurethane resin and B – hardener. These ingredients must be thoroughly mixed in the correct ratio before use. Once mixed, the adhesive undergoes a chemical reaction, which causes it to cure. The curing process for two-component polyurethane adhesives is less dependent on moisture levels than for single-component adhesives.
These adhesives feature rapid setting, curing much faster than single-component adhesives, allowing the application to be completed more quickly and achieve full final strength, as well as very high tensile, flexural and shear strength.
One- and two-component Polyurethane Adhesives are ideal for bonding wooden structures, 3D wrapping, bonding garden furniture, and production of thermal insulation boards and sandwich panels.
