Sustainability has become a key driver of research and development projects at Selena. It includes the search for alternative, renewable materials and products with a reduced carbon footprint.

Our sustainable products

We take a holistic approach to assessing the environmental impact of our operations, considering the entire life cycle of our products in an LCA (Life Cycle Assessment). The main objective of our activities is to reduce our carbon footprint by minimising resource consumption and carbon emissions into the atmosphere. A holistic LCA of our products enables responsible environmental management, without transferring impacts from reductions between stages of the process. Transparent and comparable information on our products and environmental impact is provided in EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations).

Certification of the end product’s mass balance means reliable information about its sustainability based on international certification with the stringent requirements of ISCC Plus.

Environmental parameters and reduced carbon footpirnt of our compnent products are confirmed by Environmental Product Declarations issued by recognised institutions accredited in the European Union and by ECO Platform.

Prestigious certificates confrim low or zero-emisson of our component products without harmful effects during manufacture of the end-product and throughout the entire cycle of its use.
